How I chose my surgeon/ procedure

Hi ladies
I'm 8 weeks post DVH, left my ovaries. I just wanted to share how I picked my surgeon and procedure. I know that's a hard decision you have to face with so many choices.
I met with an OBgyn who told me I needed a hysterectomy, she was patient and got my husband on the phone and told him what she found. We then scheduled a later time to schedule surgery.
In that time I talked to my insurance company, my primary care provider, and an OB at another hospital not affiliated with the others clinic. This doctor did not offer a robotic option and would not do it before our vacation.
So we decided with the first doctor because she used the davinci method which would allow me to go on our vacation. I didn't care about bedside manner, I wanted a top notch gyn surgeon, which is exactly what I got.
Please get a 2nd, 3rd or 4th opinion!! Also stay on the doctors to get it approved by insurance,get codes, coverage, everything you need.
