6 week check up and no speculum exam?

Just had my 6 week check-up after a TAH this morning. He looked at my incision and did an internal exam while pressing on my tummy. He also just felt way up inside without pressing. Could he feel what he needed to without looking? He said I'm good to go and I've been cleared for sex (kids wont be home this weekend!)Anyone else not have a speculum exam?

mannyblessings...I had a TVH on August 21 and like you, did not have a speculum exam. I had an internal with my Doc pressing on my belly. I was cleared for all activities. Sex was great with no pain. So! Enjoy your weekend without the kids!!

I had a 7 week check on Monday and she checked my incision.

If I hadn't mentioned a small amount of discharge I don't think I would have got any internal whatsoever! She then went ahead with the speculum exam and said that everything looks fine and the discharge is completely normal.
