4 days & not scared

45 & not scared. I am having everything removed. The doctor asked if I wanted anything left & I sain No, take it all. Is this unusual? The ovaries are coming out since I have also been diagnosed w/ crohn's in the small intestine & the doctor said if I have to have any bowel surgery later the ovaries would be in the way. I am just glad to eliminate the pain or 1 reason for the pain.

Re: 4 days & not scared

I don't think it is unusual. I have my Da'vinci in two days. Not scared of surgery at all. I have endo cancer that's what I am scared of. But it is what it is. I also told doc to take anything he wanted to appendix, one kidney, piece of liver etc. Lol. I think we will all feel better when this over. Huggs to you.

Re: 4 days & not scared

Hi, I have to say I have been unusually calm and my surgery is supposed to be tomorrow. Think people deal with things in different ways. I was going to be admitted today but no beds so I might be bumped tomorrow unless they find one.

Re: 4 days & not scared

I was terrified right up until about a week before the surgery. Then so busy with other things calmed down. Day of surgery was so calm the nurses and anesthelogists even commented on it as it took three of them to start my IV. Made things way easier for me as was let go earlier than expected. Blood pressure was great even without normal meds for it and being calm had to help with overall welbeing. So I say, great that you are not scared it can only be good for you overall!!
