not so pleasant discharge this am...

This morning when I went to the bathroom I noticed a white yellowish milky discharge that had funky odor to it. I have been several times now and each time I have it to varying degrees. I had a yellow discharge for about 2 1/2 weeks after surgery and then it stopped. I am 6 weeks postop now and still lots of other problems but this is a new one. Is it normal? I have a call into my Dr.(I am sure they are tired of hearing from me by now..lol) but just wondering if anyone else has had this happen?
Thanks

Re: not so pleasant discharge this am...

I had a strange yellow/beige discharge that showed up around my 6th or 7th week. None before that though. There was a lot, and it really worried me. My mom told me that it was normal after surgery....she said that she had it after her C-sections. Mine lasted for about 2 weeks, and then gradually disappeared. It must be some kind of natural cleansing. Mine happened more frequently at night, after lying down. If in doubt, though, you may want to talk to your . Best of luck!

Re: not so pleasant discharge this am...

I had a brownish yellow discharge right after surgery and it went away. Doctor said that is normal it is the vagina cleansing itself and internal stitches dissolving. After about 4 weeks the odor become smelly and I went to the doctor. He said it was a vaginal infection and gave me some cream. If it persists mention to your doctor.

Re: not so pleasant discharge this am...

dr.'s nurse called me back as he is out today. I have an 8:30`appt. Monday morning. Along with the discharge I am having some bladder issues and a couple other things she is concerned about. So I guess I will find out then what is going on hopefully.

Re: not so pleasant discharge this am...

I am about 5 weeks post-op and have had discharge/bleeding since week 3 (but not before, mysteriously). Like others, my surgeon said it was the stitches dissolving at the top of the vagina and that it would fizzle out with time (which I'm still waiting on). Unlike you, however, there's no odor and that's one of the things she said to call in about, so I think you're doing the right thing, just in case there's an infection. Best of luck
