Three Months and Still Aching on Right Side

I know I had problems with a big hematoma under the incision over the naval that necessitated a lot of daily packing for weeks after the other incisions had closed.

My major problem is a constant aching pain around the high incision under my right rib cage. I would think by now this would have gone away, but it hasn't. If I press in on it, it hurts. Not a sharp pain but like a sore muscle. Also will ache if I do too much. It seems to be connected in some way with that incision that gave me a problem, even though the hematoma was actually on the other side of the cut.

My next appointment is 2/13. I would call about it but first off it's not all that bad. Hubby says I'm still healing and there may have been more work done on that side. I believe it was the incision that the assisting doctor used during the procedure.

Also I hate to say this but I really do not like my surgeon. She is very rough, as is her bedside manner. She doesn't seem to appreciate the pain that patients feel post op. I honestly don't care to see her again but being she did the surgery I don't have a choice. BTW I didn't choose her, my regular gyno recommended her based on her expert surgical skills. I'm also relatively new to this area so I just took his word on this.

Being a great surgeon is a plus but I also believe that bedside manner helps psychologically. But this isn't about her. Just wanted to check and see if anyone has had a similar problem. It is now 11 weeks since the operation. Sounds like a lot but I've learned that healing from this can take up to 8 months or more.

Thanks in advance.
