discharge??

I know I am still going to have some discharge for awhile since I am only a few days post op. My question is......When I wiped this time there was a puss type discharge mixed in with the pink smear. Is this something to worry about? I am going to tell my dr. tomorrow when I go to have staples removed but just wondered if it is worth calling about tonight? They kept asking me in the castle about clots and bleeding but never about this type of discharge.

Do you have a fever? Is there a strong odor? Part of healing does include some interesting discharge. Reading this article might help: Vaginal – What’s this odor?.

Thank you for your post. I have had a temp of between 99.5 and 99.9 since the morning after surgery. The nurses didn't seem concerned about it at all. There is no odor to the discharge. I think I will wait and see what happens unless my temp goes up higher. My appointment for staple removal is 8:30am so I can ask then to be sure.
