Month 8 Post-Op Incision Itching

Hi Ladies!
Okay, what's up with my incision and pubic area itching? I use an unscented, oatmeal-based lotion. Anyone else having this issue? If so, I'm taking recommendations on lotions/creams to ease the itch. Otherwise, I'll keep pretending I'm a member of major league baseball and keep scratching my crotch in public!!

BTW, my dermatologist had given me two types of anti-itch creams for previous other itch problems. Worse case, I'll call his office and ask if I can use either of these I have here already.

I don't have specific answers for you, though I suggest you give your doctor a call, but I do have an idea! As I have allergies I have to be careful about lotions, soaps, detergent, deodorant, etc. Sometimes a product I have been using for years will start causing a problem and often it is because the manufacturer as decided to "improve" their product! So you might want to double check to be sure your lotion is the same as it always has been and that none of the ingredients has changed.

Another idea is that there were dissoluble stitches and possible one or more didn't totally dissolve and could be a problem.

Hope you figure it out soon!

Dermatologist sounds like a good idea as you have previously had this problem.

Robin:
I think that occasionally these things just crop up... I was having some issues with a slight discharge also, but it seems to have gone away... just in time for my next gyn/onc appt. I think that was what made me "itchy".
As far as the scar itching, I have no clue.. Mine doesn't itch, but I am annoyed by the big lump at the bottom... It seems to pull at my skin just above the bladder..
