2 months post hysterectomy: Dr gave all clear to resume normal activity, BUT I over did it.

I had my Total LAVH leaving both ovaries on Oct 14th. So far I have followed all the recommended dos and don't, my 2 and 7 week checks went perfect. I was given the all clear to resume "normal" activities with no restrictions.
It's so close to Christmas and I didn't have the tree up yet or do the normal purge of the old toys and clothes for the kids yet so I work on the playroom and by the time I finished I had the normal slightly pushing yourself too hard "swelly belly" took the rest of the night off and when I woke up my belly button was sore and itchy at the incision line and had a dried clear flaky (puss?) inside and I was a little crampy. I now have a light yellow and sometime clear discharge slight odor. I have left a message with the dr, but it's nearly 2 am. Is this normal? I don't want to deal with the ER if I can put this off for the am. I am 8 weeks post op, there is no blood in my discharge or belly button discharge.

Probably wise to run it by the doctor since it's a little more than swelling, but yes, overdoing it can lead to spotting since tissues are newly healed and susceptible to pulling. It's better for us as we get back into daily living to resume activities gradually, otherwise it's like participating in some athletic event without having trained for it.

I continued getting swelly belly whenever I did something intense, like heaving a 24 pack of sodas on a high shelf or a short (>5 mins) but extreme abs routine. It's been less frequent as the months have gone by. Last time at the mat with it was at 5 months.

Update us after you've talked to the doctor.

I have been resting today. Dr said it sounds like a classic case of over doing it. The discharge is from the area that is still healing internally, fine as long as it doesn't get any worse: smell very foul, turn darker/or green in color and if the areas become hot and very tender to the touch, monitor for a fever. Any of those changes occcur and it requires Immediate trip to the ER.
Backstory:
My LAVH was due to having Essure implanted in 2010, it punctured through my tube and the other was much farther in the uterus than was ideal.
The overdoing it is frustrating because I hate feeling incapable of doing what was once a normal day for me. I thought I was done dealing with the effects of these coils. I know I am blessed to have had the coils removed successfully. But today is just an emotional day and I just want my life back.

I'm sure you were relieved at the update, thanks for sharing.

Oh, I so hear you on feeling helpless, not in control and wanting to get your life back. My surgery and recovery were textbook, but it still took months. These side effects will get less frequent, and it will get better. You're not alone, and you can always come here to find soulmates who understand.
