Driving? Visiting? Doing things?

My doctor said NOTHING that is NOTHING for 4 weeks. That includes cooking, cleaning (especially the vacuum), laundry , dishes, DRIVING, and especially SHOPPING (except he said to shop online if I had to - I did!).
If we don't give ourselves time to heal on the front end of this, we will pay for it later. That's why we're supposed to be pampered! Relax, take your time and enjoy.
1 month today TAH/BSO and still enjoying pampering by DH

I am in the USA and I was told no driving for 6 weeks. Along with no vacuuming, shopping, excersising, and I don't remember what all! You only have one chance to heal right I think was my dr's theory.

Driving? Visiting? Doing things?

I'm 3 weeks post-op after TAH/BSO and my dr. said nothing (including driving) for 4 weeks. I think my family is starting to get a little tired of Mom just laying around but they've been pretty good about it.

Ouch! When you're right you're right! My doctor hasn't said anything except no work for 2 months. The very thought of work makes me feel pain (I'm an adult ed instructor). Even the thought of shopping hurts.

My pillow, my remote and my laptop these will be my only friends right now!

My doctor told me the same thing about only having one chance to heal properly!
His instructions for me were no driving for two weeks; no stairs, no vacumming, no shopping carts (basically no push/pull of greater than 5 pounds) for six weeks. It is very very hard, but I have been following the instructions!
