Eating Post Hyster

Am I the only one out here that can't stop eating following their hysterectomy? It is actually frightening how much I eat. I snack ALL morning at work, eat my lunch, snack some more in the afternoon, go home eat my dinner, snack some before bed and then get up and start again. I can't stop! Is there a connection between menopause and non-stop eating? Please...someone, tell me I'm not alone here.

I ate like a pig at first. In the hospital, when I called for part 2 of my first breakfast order, the room service lady asked my mom "She wants MORE food???". But the last couple of days I have had no appetite to speak of. I had to remind myself that I hadn't eaten & force something down.

I barely eat but come night time I'm a porker.haha. I eat breakfast then I am too tired to get up so I watch Dvd's all day or sleep. Night rolls around and I've got the popcorn, cookies, apple or pear, some tea and yogurt...... Gawd I didn't think I could pack that much away. haha. Makes me wonder if I'm making up for the rest of the day!!

I am just the opposite. Pre-surgery I was eating like a pig, mostly candy, all day long. It was stress due to the surgery.

After surgery, I eat less at meals and don't snack at all.

My DH is wondering if my doc also gave me a gastric bypass and forgot the tummy tuck! LOL
