Feeling terrible!

I have had my period this past week and it was BAD today I have felt so bad VERY light headed and out of it Well earlier I passed out and ended up in the ER with a BP of 197/100 well it went down some but after doign blood work they said im very anemic BIG shock to me NOT!!! last month I felt the same way and was told it was a sinus infection. FUnny thing is the Doc never did a blood count on me last time.

So the ER doc told me if I have my surgery on April 7th as scheduled I may have to have a transfusion before hand!!! Now I am even more wirried Gawd I feel like I am falling apart!!!!

Have any of you had that done?

Guess I just needed to vent!

thanks for listeningnow back to bed I am so drained!

I too had terrible anemia before my surgery. Are you taking Iron Supplements? If you're that anemic, will they do surgery?

I was seeing an acupuncturist for my pain before surgery and she recommend something called Floravital Iron + Herbs Dietary Supplement. It's a liquid that you can buy at Trader Joes or other Health Food stores. I started taking it once a day in the morning and within one week I felt amazingly better (this was after trying over the counter iron pills that completely wrecked havoc pn my stomach). I continue to take this every day in the morning before breakfast. Do you know that I have not had a cold, the flu, a sinus infection, or anything else in more than a year? It has to be refrigerated and you have to use it up within 4 weeks after opening (one bottle lasts abut a month).

Trust me, I don't own stock in the company or anything - I've just found that this has worked really well for me. The company has a website www.florahealth.com.

Good luck to you. Anemia can be pretty horrible in itself as if you don't have enough other stuff to deal with!

Good luck to you.

Feeling terrible!

I was diagnosed as "severely anemic" back in January and although I'm still borderline, they're going ahead with the surgery. I was given an iron supplement and told to take Colace with it. Have no trouble with the iron and I feel much better energy wise.
Good luck!!

I hate the feeling of being anemic. I was very anemic 2 months ago but last month my count went up, thankfully. I was put on 2 iron pills a day at a 324 mg ea. These are called Hemocyte.
I hope you get to feeling better soon.
I would try taking a multivitamin that contains iron for now till you get to your dr. Take care..........
