Decission Made, Now the wait

Went to see my doctor today, he is the best, answered all my questions, etc. Bad news though, he found that my uterus is enlarged times 4 and I have tumors plus a fibroid that has masticized so he has to do the surgery within the next 2 weeks. He has to do it abdominally rather than vaginally and he may need to take my ovaries. Now I am even more nervous, I told him to do whatever needs to be done. I want it over with now so I can stop freaking out. Am I crazy?

Toni- I feel your apprehension. My doctor stresses the need to take everything-severe endo-I agreed-anything was better than laying on the bathroom floor for three days every month. Then I rethink my decision-Am I being to hasty? It doesn't help that every joe schmoo gives me their two cents. YOU ARE NOT CRAZY! It is an overwhelming decision from all angles. I wish you luck!

Thanks for all your support. I am just having one of those weeks. Not only do I have to have the BIG H, I was forced to drop my anatomy and physiology class and will have to wait until 2005 to enter the nursing program. On the plus side, I am keeping my other 2 classes and can study my A & P with the women in my class making me that much more ahead of the rest of the spring class. Oh well, will let everyone know when my surgery is scheduled. I want everyone to know I am here for them too. Lets lean on one another.
