Going for Pre-op appt today

I am so glad I found this site. I've only been here since Monday, but boy do I feel a whole lot better. I have my pre-op appointment today at 2:00. My doctor says she's also sending me to the hospital on Saturday morning for "more tests". Can anyone tell me what kind of "tests" they will be?

Hi, the tests that I had pre op were a urinalysis, blood work, a chest xray and an EKG. Each pre op varies depending on what each dr orders. I think that if you want to know for sure what to expect on Saturday, call your dr and ask.

My pre-op was yesterday. I had blood work, and urine and I registered in the hopsital and paid my co-pay. The nurse said that because of my age(35) I didn't need an xray or ekg. AND no bowel prep before surgery. YAHOO !! Just nothing to eat after 10:00 the night before. My surgery is a week from today ( by this time next week I will be in my room) and the instructions from the doctors office was no apsprin,advil, for the next week. If I need something i can only have tylenol. The other meds have blood thinners. That was the only thing I was told. No special diet or anything else. I thought it went very well. I was prepared for more but I don't know what more.
