2 Week Checkup Advice

Well i went to my 2 week checkup and everything is progressing normally I asked some questions, and i couldnt believe what the Dr. said

My question was: Can i get in a chlorinated swimming pool if i just get wet and not actually swim. My Dr. said "well your incision appears healed on the outside. Just underneath the scar it is not healed. What happens when you soak an incision like that is the tissues soften so much that you are risk for the incision opening up completely and exposing your guts! BAD PICTURE in my head!

I now know quite clearly why i dont want to get in the chlorinated pool for more than 10 minutes IF at all!

i was told after my previous c-sections to not get in a pool or river/ocean, etc because of risk of infection, so i stayed out of a pool this time until 3 months...

I would not get in at all right now. You risk possibly getting an infection. I would play it safe. I was not even allowed to take baths for over 8 weeks. Stay safe.
