The Final Stretch - Hyster June 14th

Well, I'm down to the last week before my TLH, RSO procedure. In the last 6 weeks my emotions on this have been all over the place. Strangely, I find myself at great peace with it now. Given how busy the week will be, I'm comforted in knowing that I've been able to stay on task with what needs to be done and by when. I've purchased everything I should need to make my recovery as comfortable as possible. And, mother nature is also making this decision pretty easy for me as well. The pain and cramping are back big time, as they always would be a week before my period. No ibuprofen, though, and the tylenol isn't really cutting it at all. Oh well, 7 more days. Then my healing can begin!

I know there are several other June 14th Sisters out there. How are you feeling?

Im June 14th also, a little comforting knowing your not going into this alone. I have been all over the place with this surgery, im starting to come to peace with whats going to happen, I will be losing my ovaries also and that is my biggest concern. Just wish we were on the other side. What time are you?? Im at 7:30. Good luck!!

I'm not until 11:00.

I might lose both ovaries as well. I read somewhere on here that if you're born a woman, you're going to have to go through menopause at some point anyway. We're all going to go through it, and it will be different for all of us. Surgical or not. Somehow that has helped relieve my panic about that aspect of the surgery. Thanks to this site I feel informed enough to handle it either way.
