4 weeks post op, have some questions..

4 weeks on from my TAH and I'm still experiencing a constant, very unpleasant burning/stinging pain both in the area of my scar and behind it (in my tummy).

I've had another odd sensation when I urinate.. for the first 2 weeks, I could wee as normal with no issues but the last 2 weeks, I experience an odd 'pressure' sensation as I get towards finishing. It's not like a 'pain', just a pressure which increases and is unpleasant.

Only thing to report is that my urine has gone cloudy but no stinging when I uriniate and no odour.

Any thoughts to share? Thank you :-)

Re: 4 weeks post op, have some questions..

Not sure about the stinging/burning at the incision site. But as far as the pressure when urinating...I experienced the same thing about 2-3 weeks Post-Op and it continued off and on until about 5-6 weeks Post-op. I was told for one I was trying to do too much too soon, and also that the bladder undergoes alot of trauma during this type of surgery and sometimes it takes a while to feel the effects.
Hope this has helped!! Happy Healing

Re: 4 weeks post op, have some questions..

i've had that feeling when peeing since day one postop.

i'm now almost three weeks out, and it hasn't gone away much. my gyn said to give it time. i had my primary doc check me for infections - i'm clean.

i feel ya...i want it to go away! LOL
