Re: Pressure pain

What is the reason for your hysterectomy? I have fibroids and I have been suffering from severe constipation and urinary frequency. I think these are common symptoms. I hear that you will be much better after the surgery. Keep your chin up!

Re: Pressure pain

Australia 1:
Maybe try stool softeners twice a day. Fiber one bars, walking, and water or coffee if that usually helps.
Heating pad for discomfort, or hot water bottle, warm bath.

Re: Pressure pain

If pressure is worst standing then lay down for hours. literally call it a day and go to bed. It helped me when I had burning pressure in cervix area. Stay off feet.

Re: Pressure pain

It gets so much better after surgey. I knew at the begining of Summer my fibroids were back but waited till the end of Summer to have my surgery so I had a lot of pressure right before I had surgery. I was also going to the restroom to pee all the time. The first thing I noticed when I woke up after surgery was that the pressure was gone! It was a good feeling It was a breeze going to the bathroom after surgery compared to before.

Good luck Australia and the rest of you ladies still waiting for the big day.

Re: Pressure pain

Yes I have fibroids. I now realise that symptoms had got worse during last 10 yrs. had been told I had one 20 yrs ago but at that point was told it would give heavy periods. Never went to dr as assumed I was just suffering from women problems and lead up to menopause.
Earlier this yr I had horrendous period which just flooded everywhere. The scan showed my uterus was packed with fibroids including 2 large ones. The appear to have grown as I can feel massive lumps near the bikini line and uterus lining very thick and uterus enlarged. Surgeon did hystetescopy so he could consider options but things wet so bad that total hysterectomy with abdominal cut is only Option. It's only now that I realise the pain and discomfort and bladder weakness was not normal and just due to childbirth.
