Swine Flu

watch out for a secondary infection- my son ended up with broncitous, then a sinus infection.

Thank you for that last post, JCHART. My 7 year old granddaughter was diagnosed with swine flue today. This thing is scarey! She has two sisters and they are being kept at separate locations at this time. I hope your son is well soon.

Great decision not to go to your appt! Keep in mind that antibiotics are not effective on viruses, like colds or flu, so no, your meds won't protect you. Your Dr should be able to give you Tamiflu though since you're high risk! It can be used to both treat and prevent the flu. (My BFF is a pharmacist) Good luck! Wash hands A LOT and all of you get some rest!
