6 days post hysterectomy: vaginal leakage smells like poo
I am on day 6 after my hysterectomy....had a full one took everything out......well my incision looks great never drained only issue was a nerve pinching on left side and controlling it with pain meds.....my only real issue is my vaginal area is leaking. It smells like poo tmi I know but I wonder what this could be.

I would be concerned about infection and call the Dr. ASAP!! If it is the faster you get started on antibiotics the better. Good luck and keep us posted!

I've been passing gas but still no bowel moment on day 6....day after my surgery I did poo in the hospital but nothing since.

Definately check for rectovaginal fistula with your doctor. Is the colour like poo also? Gently wipe your vagina with a baby wipe and check again.
