Still have sutures at 6 weeks post hysterectomy

Just did my 6 wk and my doctor grimaced as she said ugh you have a crap load of sutures still in there. I see a few ppl saying they had a few at Sevan weeks but apparently my crap ton shocked my doctor and we've tacked on an extra 4 wks of restrictions due to my not healing well. This freaks me out as I have juvenile rheumatoid arthritis aka an auto immune disease, prone to inflammation.etc etc am I the only person w an abundance of sutures remaining? So anxious!!

Re: Sutures

I still had sutures at my 6 week follow up, and was not released for another 2 weeks because of it. I have fibromyalgia, and I know my healing time is a bit longer than a healthy person.

I'm great now!

Hi there. I had two stiches left at 5 weeks. it seemed like they were hindering the healing process, so i clipped them. put neosporin on them and it healed in a day

I am talking about internal sutures on the vaginally cuff. I am not talking about stitches on my incision points! At all!

If you have a condition that affects your autoimmune system, then healing can take longer. I understand losing patience with this recovery but do have patience with your body. It will will happen..🌹
