HELP --bLEEDING AFTER SEX
Hi Well, you are still relatively early in your recovery... there are a couple of reasons that come to mind why you might have spotting after sex. One is that there could be some granulation (unhealed tissue) up at the vaginal cuff. If this is the case, your DR can treat it with silver nitrate. Another possibility is vaginal dryness, caused by low estrogen levels in the vagina (this is possible even if you kept your ovaries or are on HRT).
About the tanning bed and/or sun... if you're on estrogen replacement, that will make you more sensitive to the sun. Many of us have found that we burn much more easily after this surgery, and must either keep covered up, stay in the shade or use a good sunscreen whenever we're outdoors.
I hope this helps.
s,
-Linda
