TVH Feeling tired alot and legs bothering 6 months out

I did real well through my surgery and feeling quite well, but just lately I feel tired alot and my legs feel tired. I did have alot going on for the last 6 months, my sister-in-law was sick and passed in July. I gained 10 lbs since my surgery and I know that probably isn't helping my recovery. Back to weight watchers and maybe that will help. I shouldn't complain but want to feel good again. thanks for listening.

Hang in there Icmille51, it took me a full year before I felt back up to speed. exercise will make you stronger for all that you are dealing with.

Icymille, I am feeling the same sensations, but intermittently. Seeing my dr next Tue.

OMG...so am I. My legs just feel so tired. I just posted on the board regarding this same issue.

I had tired legs, and also a lot of pain in them if I sat too long. It went away, but took a few months.

Ok, going to give some advice here. You can see my TAH date, and I also had a bladder repair, so this surgery really knocked me for a loop as they say.
Try to walk as much as possible, and slowly build up an exercise regime. It will make a huge difference. I finally committed to going to the gym 3 times a week, and never for longer than an hour, and I can come home from work without having to throw myself into bed, exhausted. The stronger you are, the better you will feel. This is a major surgery, and what that means is that you are going to take a while, sometimes a long while, to recover. For me it was really the year mark where I felt more like myself. But now I am exercising, I feel way better than I did before the surgery.
