Not sure what to call my procedure

Hello Sisters.

On July 17th I had a supracervical subtotal hysterectomy. It was laparoscopicaly assisted but also included a 5cm horizontal incision on my pubic hair line. Kept my ovaries and my cervix, I had removed the Fallopian tubes 3 years ago.

So it seems to be a hybrid. Partial Lap, partial abdominal.

Not sure what my abbreviation should say.

LSH, not quite it, SAH not quite it.

I know the name not super important. More importantly I am healing and feeling bit by bit better. And thankful for the Sisters.

Who can help a sister out, figure out a name?

Truly appreciated. Been getting to some hand sewing that was on my mind and I think I may relearn how to crochet. Trying to keep my mind busy while my body rests.

I'm not up on the name thing either... just a bit of humour - I just say I had a hyster with a 50 thousand mile check... play on 50% - done with the first half full of pain and blood - onto the next half - feeling like a teenager again

I actually sat outside the other night (before the bugs attacked) and wished on the st star, watched an electrical storm pass by, looked for shapes in the clouds

Since you had an abdominal incision, I'd go ahead and call it an SAH.... even though there was a lap-assist on the surgery.

Agreed that the name isn't all-important, but you might have some different issues because you have an actual incision to heal.
