Keep My Cervix Or Not?

I am close to your age also and am getting read of mine on Wed. I am not really sure of a good reason to keep it. Reasons to remove it include no risk of having dysplasia or cervical ca. None of this runs in my family and my PAP smears are negative, but it will be one less thing to worry about. My doc. said that studies are showing that the cervix does not play much role in sexual pleasure or pelvic support and she recommended taking it out, so I am.
