Embarassing sex question

Hi sisters,

Ever since my hysterectomy I experience a strong unpleasant vaginal odor a few hours after sex. It does go away within/less than 24 hours or with a shower. I know I do not have BV or a yeast infection becasue I had a recent vaginal culture (for other reasons). I asked the doc about it and he said "that can happen sometimes". I haven't had much luck when I google the subject other than what I know it isn't. Does this happen to anyone else?

We don't self clean quite the same way as we are not so lubricated, plus the semen just goes into the vagina now rather than spread around up there, what doesn't run out just sits there a bit more is my guess. But that's all it is..a guess.

You should get another Dr's opinion. That sounds like a sorry excuse ..... It sometimes happens...I think thats bull! Something could be going on.

i agree..i'd get another opinion. an odor after being aroused is one of the most commons signs of bacterial vaginosis. if you dont want to get another opinion, i'd ask the dr for a prescription for flagyl or metrogel and see if that clears it up. it really cant hurt.
