My insurance is screwed up!

They called me today and said that I would be getting a denied paper in the mail and to just rip it up and throw it away. They said that the medical director has my case and that it was never denied to begin with. What the ****! My surgery was suppose to be yesterday and now I have to reschedule again. I am so tired of all the waiting it is making me sick. Just thought I would vent a little more to people I know have had simular problems and would understand.

I would be furious. I hope they apologized. Has the medical director approved your op.? If so, get it in writing!!! Is your dr. willing to get a date for you quickly??

I feel your pain. How dang annoying. I had a few denial letters come my way and I know how it feels to receive them. You have a huge family (hystersisters) backing you up. Hang in there and we hope this error is corrected soon.

My insurance is screwed up!

I havent been able to get through to the Dr since they are all in a staff meeting. I am redialing as fast as I can until they come out and answer the phone. The surgery scheduler is out until monday but maybe they have someone else that can schedule, don't know. The lady at the insurance company said it is approved the only reason the medical director has it is because of the srew up. She also said I would get an approval letter soon.

My insurance is screwed up!

I suggest getting the approval code from the ins. so when you call the dr. office they don't need to call and get it themselves. One less thing to take up valuable time. I am glad you have an approval. Congrats. that is half the battle in my eyes. Let us know how thing progress with the dr. office. Good luck.

I'm glad to hear that your surgery was approved! How frustrating about the mix-up though!
Keep re-dialing until you get someone on that phone! Calling your insurance back and getting the approval code, like Imokay suggested, is a great idea. This way the doctor's office doesn't have to and they can't argue with you about scheduling.
in there!
