Bladder leakage

Hi there, I had a hysterectomy on 8 July, eleven days ago and have been struggling with bladder leakage. Not just a little but a lot!! My Doctor says it's a urine infection. I've had urine infections before but the symptoms for me are really different this time. No stinging sensation...just lots of leakage and I have no control over it. I have been on anti-biotics for three days now without any change. I called the Doctor today and was told that I need to give the anti-biotics more time. What are your experiences and what were the results for you? Thanks

I am so sorry! I had the exact same thing. After a cystogram to rule out a fistula, my doc discovered that it wasn't urine at all but peritoneal fluid from my vagina. My vaginal cuff stitches did not absorb and there is a tiny are where there is stitch separation causing fluid to leak. I am going to have surgery tomorrow to have the stitches fixed and a cystoscopy to check that my bladder and urethra are ok.

Did your doctor use a speculum and do a vaginal exam?
