Hysterectomy yesterday: Burning sensation in my stomach. Is this Normal?

I had my surgery yesterday, TAH, with both ovaries removed. I am still in the hospital and I will probably be here another day or two. Anyway, I keep having this burning sensation on both the right and left sides of my abdomen. It's worse on the right and gets really bad when I cough and when I get in and out of the bed. No amount of pain meds helps this issue. Is this normal? I haven't been able to ask the surgeon yet because he won't be up until after office hours. I asked my nurse and he didn't know. If it is normal how long does it last? So far I have done okay but this is awful.

I had the burning after my 3rd c-section and with my abdominal hyster. I think it's bruising.
