Hysterectomy recovery with 8 month old

Okay so I have an 8 month old who has been with his dad for 2 weeks, we aren't together, I had my surgery 2 weeks ago, it was a Da Vinci hysterectomy, removed cervix, tubes, and uterus, anyways, his father works away for 4 weeks at a time, so I'm getting my son back, I have absolutely no help with him, he's a big boy and I know I'm not suppose to lift anything heavy but I have no other choice so I'm very worried, I can't neglect him. Have any of you ladies lift before it was time, if so, did it cause any damage? I know I run that risk.

I have 9 month old at home. So I know what it feels like. Although I am with my husband he does work full time and that leaves me to handle the baby on my own too. It really hasn't caused any problems for me with my recovery so far. But if you are really concerned maybe you should talk to your doctor to get his opinion on it. Is there anyone that can stay and help you with the baby?
