What was found

Does the doctor tell you what all he found during surgery before you go home?

I know why I am having my hyst but am wondering about some other problems that were found like why my uterus is enlarged they have only speculated they don't know the exact reason or if they do know they haven't told me. All I know for sure is endo and my ovaries are covered in cysts that did not respond to other treatment.

Well, here's my experience:

I did talk to the surgeons at length after my surgery. They gave me the "short version" of what happened on surgery day (because I was still kind of out of it from the anesthesia) and then a more detailed version the day I was released.

At my six-week checkup, I asked for and received the surgery notes, which actually went through the whole procedure, step by step (right down to the kind of stuff they used to stitch me up with), and the pathology report. By that point, I was ready to read it all. I could have called them back if I had any more questions, but everything was pretty clear to me at that point.
