5 weeks post hysterectomy: The back of my legs are achy.

I've noticed after I get up from sitting for a while, the back of my legs are achy. Has anyone else had this happen?

I had everything removed except my ovaries, and then I had a hernia repair. Today I'm feeling pretty good. Just have to be careful what I eat, due to acid reflux. I hope and pray that the both of us will get stronger as time goes by. Have a blessed day.

I am 9 weeks out from surgery. Also had everything removed including 31 lymph nodes. I don't really have swelling but my legs ache constantly, especially behind my knees. Have been going to physical therapy as I suspect I have lymphedema.

My legs are achy and stiff too. I am also having muscle cramps in my belly. I have been so uncomfortable lately I really don't know what to do. Advil just isn't cutting it.

What does your PT say? Are they qualifies to work with lymphedema? I ask this because my wife has lymphedema in her arm following breast cancer surgery this summer. She was referred to a specialist PT; we were told that it's really important to work with someone who understands lymphedema as it's really easy to make it worse unintentionally. I send you all good thoughts; my wife's lymphedema, while not dangerous, is certainly a big hindrance in her life. Still, as she says daily, if she had to choose between cancer and a puffy arm, she'd choose the puffy arm! (She had 17 nodes removed; all were cancer free)

The PT specialize in lymphedema which is good. She said the swelling has remained minimal (we measure each time) and she hopes with exercise and elevation of the legs the aching will subside or at least be managed. BTW - there was no cancer deducted in the 31 lymph nodes remove.
