Inflamed nerve sheath

The best part of all this is I am heading home for the first time in 2 1/2 years (still in pain or not!)and wont have to ask my dad for the navy towels to sleep on so I don't ruin his sheets or mattress!

That's the way to look for the silver lining!!!

I got the official report from my surgeon today on what was causing the severe pain. It was nerve entrapment at the edge of the rectus sheath repair. Yesterday wasn't to bad and today is still better than it has been. We will see how things are when I see him on Tuesday. Hope they figure out your pain.

I am glad each day is getting better.
I am anxious for next week to get here.
Yesterday was the worst day I've had since I've been home.
The pain on my side had me literally on the floor crying. I took the max advil that the doc said I had followed two hours later by tylenol. I didn't want to take the darvocet because it makes me sleep and I was having company at noon.

By mid afternoon it had subsided to where I could handle it.
I woke up today with very little pain.
