Do you think it is ok to sleep on my tummy?

I have laid on it a few times and it did not hurt. Actually my back felt better because of it. But I am afraid to sleep on it. I am 13 days post-op. I slept on my tummy constantly before surgery.

Re: Do you think it is ok to sleep on my tummy?

I am 38 days post op. Dare not sleep on my tummy yet because everytime I try to, it hurts. I also slept on my tummy before. Maybe you could ask your doctor whether it is safe to do that.

Re: Do you think it is ok to sleep on my tummy?

I slept on my side and my tummy after the first couple of weeks. I had a small pillow that I used to prop myself up into a comfy spot. Good luck!

Re: Do you think it is ok to sleep on my tummy?

I slept on my tummy not long after I came home (somewhere around the end of week two). I know I was more tummy side down then up at times in the hospital with the strategic use of pillows and rolled blankets because my hip points hurt from being strapped to the table and that was one more position I could roll into. The incision area didn't stretch like that, just stayed stationary.
