incision pain @ 5wks post op (SILS)

Over the past 2 days I've started to experience pain, similar to what I had immediately following surgery, in my belly button with redness. I'm not running a fever, just a good bit of pain, some redness, & maybe some slight puffiness. Should I call the doctor or just wait and see what happens?

Re: incision pain @ 5wks post op (SILS)

Sorry to hear about your pain. I would just call your Doc to let him/her know of your concern. If it is infected and you wait to long then you'll be sorry. Its better to be safe than sorry. Increase pain, Redness and swelling are signs of an infection with or without a fever. Hope all turns out ok.

I agree with dmurphy, call your doctor about it! Sounds like you might have an infection.
