Endometriosis
I am having a hysterectomy soon. Am waiting for insurance approval and then scheduling. I would like to hear from anyone that has suffered from severe endometriosis and/or constant bleeding. I also have a fibroid. I want reassurance that I will feel much better after this surgery.
Thanks,
Jan

Endometriosis
Hey there Jan....I had stage 2 endo, an ovarian endometrioma that was the size of a grapefruit, and an enlarged uterus. I am one week post op today and feeling great. I can't give you ALL the reassurance you need because endo affects everyone differently, but I am willing to bet you will feel like a new woman.

Endo
Hi,
I am 5 weeks post-op from a hyst for endo/adenomyosis of the uterus and I can tell you I feel better. Also, a Hystersister named Adrite has a lot of helpful info on endo--do a search under her user name and you should find a wealth of info.
I have had four laparscopies/laser surgeries, three surgical menopauses, and suffered a lot in the last 12 years. I feel much better now! The picture of me at the bottom of my post was taken last weekend--see the big smile?
Best,

Endometriosis
JanJan,
Hello, of course we cannot guarantee that this surgery will change your life all for the better. Everyone reacts to endo and to surgery in different ways. But we can provide the support that you need to help you with any questions that you have. I, for one, feel 100% better than I did prior to my hysterectomy. (although I am still fighting some ongoing bladder problems, but I still feel MUCH better). I suffered from endo and adenomyosis and fibroids, and the hysterectomy made a world of difference. I no longer suffer from debilitating pain and constant bleeding.
Wishing you the very best.
