New here....Surgery on March 23rd!!

Hey guys I just found out on Monday that they will FINALLY do a LAVH on me. I am scheduled for March 23rd and my insurance has already approved it.
I have had problems with my cycle since 1999....horrible cramps, very heavy flow, anemia, headaches, PMS...on and on. Alot of you have also been there. I have tried 2 types of BC....didn't work and have been on Vioxx and Bextra for cramps off and on for years. In 03 I had a exploratory Lap where they did a D&C and removed 3 cysts off of my fallopian tubes, but the Dr. did not feel my problems were severe enough to warrant a hysterectomy so no go....I have since changed PCP's and he sent me to another Dr. who diagnosed Adenomyosis and schecduled my LAVH. I am so thrilled at the thought of putting all that pain behind me!!! I am glad to have found this board and have found wonderful advice here already so Thanks!!

We share the date. I am glad your not nervous. I hate the waiting but I have known for over a month so its getting closer.!!! Good luck and heres to being pain free !!

I just found out Monday and got it approved by insurance today so I don't quite think it has sunk in yet....
