So weak

Hi, I finally was able to go home Saturday and it felt good to get some real rest!! I am so weak though that I can not even lift myself up with my arm to sit up, I have to have my husband assist me, is this normal?
Also my incision doesn't hurt but the creases on each leg hurts like a knife stabbing me every time I try to get up or lay down, could this be the staples?
So grateful for all the encouragement and heads up on what to expect before and after surgery.

It is normal to feel weakness. I had alot to the point of shaking. Legs felt like jello. Arms heavy and tired. I also had an episode where my whole body and mind was weak. Felt like I was crashing. Turns out I had a bladder infection and electrolytes were low. Ended up in ER where I was given an IV to boast me back up.

The first 5 days I was terribly weak. I was not able to ingest any solid foods. Keep trying to get some sustenance in your system, it should help with the weakness. :-) Smoothies were a big help for me!

Thank you dstn2bthn and dawnseptember70!! Bladder infections are not fun and great idea on the smoothies.
