I would make a phone call to your doctor and see if he prescribes something for the itching and maybe some antibiotics to prevent an infection if that is where its headed. in the meantime, try to keep in dry and clean. I hope your itching stops and that it clears and you feel better...

Rash...Help :(

Hi Spinette,

I had a daVinci but because of the swelling (30 pounds of fluid!) I have an overhang and redness and tenderness developed in the crease. When I went to see a lymphedema specialist a few days ago she suggested I use a medicated powder to treat the area. My husband bought me two different powders and I took them to my doc appt the next day so he could look at them and tell me which would be best to use. One was Zeasorb-AF and the other is Ammen's Original Medicated, both powders. He told me because I didn't have any fungal stuff going on that using the Ammen's was a good choice. I used it and immediately the area felt better. I am also making sure to dry it well after I shower, my husband towels me off and I blow dry other areas, the crease that is irritated I blow dry. Ammen's is very soothing and long-lasting, I only need to apply 1 to 2x a day. I would call the doc, or doc on call, and ask about using a medicated powder and what they would suggest. It's not a major problem, but it hurts so therefore it warrants attention right away. Feel better soon!

Thank you for the replies! Yea, it's not on my incision, it's below above the hairline, where the muffin top lays on top of it. Right now I just added some benedryal cream for the itch and put some gauze on it. The medicated powder seems the way to go. It doesn't look fungal (have a baby in diapers, so I know what that usually looks like).

ETA: I looked up medicated powders on cvs.com and I have a heat rash, LOL. For the life of me I couldn't think of the word when I posted. I'm going to try the powder and if I don't see any improvement by monday I will call my doc.

Thanks again ladies ((Hugs))
