Nausea after 2 & 3 weeks post op?

Hi,
Has anyone had nausea this far post op. It's just today, I was just curious. I have taken an antinauseant and I have a giingerale. I had dinner just now, hoping it stays down.
I know there's not much else to do for it, I'm wondering if I have the flu, that will be very painful if it is the flu.

Re: Nausea after 2 & 3 weeks post op?

I have been nauseous basically the whole 6 weeks. No clue why! It's like a headachy-nausea that hangs around all the time. Some days are worse than others.

Maybe it's a hormonal thing?

Hope you feel better soon!

Re: Nausea after 2 & 3 weeks post op?

I've been nauseous since the beginning too. I have been going back and forth between the doctor and ER trying to figure it out. The doctor thinks I might have an infection of some sort and I'm waiting on the lab results to see if that is true. If thats not the case, I guess its off to see a gastrointerologist. Hopefully in your case it is just the flu, I know that would suck but at least you would get over it soon. Hang in there and I hope you feel bettter soon.

Re: Nausea after 2 & 3 weeks post op?

I was nauseaus up to about 6 weeks and even now, if I do a lot of exercise. At about 4 - 5 weeks, I had a sensation like I was "tasting" a metallic substance or blood, which finally went away. Hang in there, but do check with your doctor just in case. I am healing daily, my hyseterectomy was in July.
