Sweating a lot

I just had my surgery on monday and they did not take my ovaries. I am sitting here in a room with ac on and i am sweating to death and nobody else is. Just wondering if anyone else had this happen , is it normal?

Re: Sweating a lot

join the club i am the the same way our ovaries are still in shock my gyn offered HRT temporarily however due to other health problems it is too risky for me. i just am in my room with the A/C cranked way up. he said hopefully in a few weeks or months things will be back to normal if not then he will do hormone testing and speak with my other doctors to see if they can agree on HRT to help.

The above article is from the Post Op Hyster library and discusses sweating and perhaps sleeping ovaries, from the shock of surgery. Hopefully, your internal thermostat will begin regulating itself soon. If you are truly uncomfortable, ask your dr for suggestions.

Take good care to rest, eat healthy, walk and drink plenty of liquids. Feel better soon!
