possible adeno and D&C
First a little history . I've had very heavy painful (mostly back, leg and joint pain)periods for most of the last 12 years, but no fibroids and the first dr. I went to brought up the possibility of adeno, but she wanted to to an endometrial ablation before talking about a hyst. I went to the ob/gyn that delivered my son by c-sect, and did my tubal, 14 yrs ago for a second opinion. He doesn't do ablations so suggested a D&C to see if it would help since he thinks it's my weight (120 lbs too much) that's causing my problems. I had that done last April, and my periods are just now beginning to get heavy (although not anywhere close to the way they were before yet) again. The pain was somewhat better, but never gone completely, until about 4 months ago, and now it's getting really close to what it was before the D&C.
Now for my question (finally ), are the symptoms of adeno temporarily eased by a D&C? I know it won't "cure" it, but at best only ease symptoms for awhile. I go to the dr. on 4-30 and will ask him, but he doesn't think adeno is much of a possibility, so I would rather have your opinions as realted to your personal experiences.
Thank you so much for your input and for just being here so that I can lurk obsessivly (sp?) until we figure out what to do.

possible adeno and D&C
Hi there !
I had a D&C in April of 2001. I did notice a very slight decrease in my clotting and flooding periods for a couple of months, and that was all.
By the time I had my TAH/Burch in September, they were the same as before I had my D&C. Anyways, hope things work out differently for you.
Good luck to you !
