17 days post hysterectomy: Sharp pain ovary area

Hi Hystersisters,
It is 17 days since my hysterectomy. Yesterday and today I have had the occasional sharp pain both right and left side in my ovary area. I didn't have my ovaries removed.
Just wondered is it part of the healing process?
I would like to thank you for information that has been very helpful to date.
Thank you from Australia

17 days post hysterectomy: Sharp pain ovary area

Hi
I'm 15 days post op (just kept my ovaries). I had a vaginal hysterectomy. I woke up this morning wondering the same thing. Lol. I feel little "pinchy" pains on both sides where my ovaries should be. Every once in a while they get a bit more of a sharp pain, but it resolves quickly.
Although, I can't really offer any advice...you aren't alone.

Re: 17 days post hysterectomy: Sharp pain ovary area

Well, ladies, I wish I can share some insight here but can't. I just noticed the two of you had your surgeries the same week that I did and I too have been having that increased ovary pain on both sides within the past few days. I have increased my activity over the past few days, but nothing excessive whatsoever. Perhaps it's just a timing thing in recovery since we're all experiencing it at about the same time?

Thanks Desilu.
It is comforting and reassuring that our experiences are similar at the same times.
Thanks for your reply.
