Feeling depressed, wish time would fast forward

Hi girls,

I just need somewhere to vent a little bit where I know I'll find people who understand. I just feel fat and gross and broken right now, and I know my fibroid issues will be resolved in time....... but right now they're still not. I look pregnant. I've also gained 10 pounds this year, which I'd like to blame on Lupron, but I probably can only blame myself.

I am doing regular workouts now to try and get in shape for my upcoming surgery. I still have no idea if I want a mini-lap myomectomy or a hysterectomy. I am negatively focusing on what I'm sure will be another setback for my body image, no matter which surgery I choose.

My sex drive has dwindled to zero and has stayed there since last January (9 months ago) when this was all diagnosed and I started the long journey of trying to fix it. It just seems like such a long time from now that I will feel and look normal again.

And it seems no matter what I do I still feel down.

I know it will get better... I just needed to vent about it. Thanks for listening and for all your advice so far.

Hi Lucille,

Here is a big cheer-up Don't worry. You will make the right decision for yourself. Sometimes it is hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I sometimes could not even see the tunnel!!!!!!!!

I had fibroids too...and it can feel like such an uncertain journey when deciding what to do. One minute I felt like I was going in the best direction with my decision making...then the next minute...

I was on lupron also...and hey...that is not so fun sometimes. So you just hang in there.

And do not feel alone at all. We Hyster Sisters are always here to help if we can.

Sending best wishes~

Mary
