Concerned and scared

For the past couple of days I have been having a different " pain in my right abdomen. Different from my usually ovary pain. I got not get in to see my regular or my gyn; so ending up going to the er last night.

It ended up with me staying for 7 hours, many tests and much discomfort. What they found was that I now have a hemmoraging cyst about the same size as my ovary on my right ovary, plus a bladder infection and possible uterine infection. :big cry: I also had a who took 4 trys to start a iv.

They gave me anitbiotics at the hospital plus 3 persciptions to take at home but only 6 pain pills. Let me tell you this hurts!

My big concern is this. I am scheduled for surgeryon Feb. 27, does any one know if this might cancel my date. I don't know what I will do if it does. I can not stand it any longer.

Hi Morgan!

I don't really know the answer to your question (I'm sure you'll be calling your DR to ask), but I did want to rush in here and give you a great, big HUG, sweetie!

I'm so sorry to hear you've been through so much! Ugh!

Take it easy - do call the DR to find out if your surgery date is still a go under these circumstances - and please let us know how things progress for you!

Don't cancel your date!

Hi Morgan,

Do not by any means cancel your date! If anything, it's a sure sign that something is definitely wrong with your body. I know how you feel. Last weekend I was ovulating from my left bad side. I could not walk. It hurt to sit. I was so sore and uncomfortable I felt as though I should have gone to the hospital. Then, 8 hours later it felt better. I started to talk myself out of the pain. It's funny how women, when they feel better talk themselves out of bad situations, pain that is . We are incredible aren't we?
Keep your date. Only you and your body knows what's going on.

Take care and God Bless!!!

Hi Morgan! That is a question only your doctor can answer for you. My guess would be that by the time of your surgery the antibiotics would have done their work, but I don't know that for sure. I've heard that an ovarian cyst hemmorhaging is very painful. If you don't have enough pain meds I'd ask your doctor to refill it for you.

I'm so sorry you are in so much pain! You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I agree with Toonces & Sherry, this is a question only your Doctor can answer. But I wanted to give you a great big and say that I hope you feel better really soon. And I hope to see you in back in the Chat Room when you are feeling better.
