dVH/RALH Strange stabbing pain twinges..vag cuff??

About a week ago (when I was 2.5 weeks post op) I started getting sharp, stabbing pains "up there" (sorry..it's hard to distinguish where exactly) I could be sitting, standing, laying down, walking..doesn't seem to matter and the pain will hit me really hard and really fast, and thankfully only last a second or two. It's VERY sharp...so if it lasted much longer Id be in agony. Sometimes it feels like very deep, high up rectal pain, but other times that same sensation seems right where I believe my vaginal cuff is. I assume it's all from the vaginal cuff, but refers to the rectal side making me "think" it's rectal. (not talking anal area...not like a hemorrhoid or fissure or anything like that...been there and done that... this is much higher up..) BM's don't seem to affect or make better, or worse...so I really don't even think it's rectal. But they are literally "STABBING" pains.

I spoke with the nurse two days ago about it..she spoke with the nurse pract. who happened to have same surgery not too long ago, and had similar pains and said they were just a normal part of healing. It happens anywhere from 1 -12 times a day. And almost always more often in the evening after I have been up and around. It stops me in my tracks and makes me yelp...yeouch!!!! Instinctively I quickly grab myself down there thinking it will help somehow...then usually it lets up a second or two later.

Anyway..if this is a normal part of healing, I am assuming someone somewhere on these boards has felt it, and would be comforted to know....so if you have could you pls reply...I'd really appreciate it. Or maybe this describes a pain you've had, but it meant something other than just 'normal' was wrong...if that's you, I'd also like to know..

No fever and really no other pain (except aching in the belly which I am inclined to believe is still post op pain). I started "old blood" spotting around the same time the pains started...nothing alarming, and the nurse described this as ok as well.

I get twinges but nothing that I would describe as a sharp stabbing pain that would make me yelp. Might be the same thing except that yours are much stronger in intensity....

i have those pains too, i don't know what to attribute them to, sometimes when i have to go pee that is what i feel, i don' thave the urge to pee, and then i get this stab like someone stabbed a knitting needle up there
