25 and not sure where we will go from here...

Hello! I'm glad to be apart of this group. I have not had a hysterectomy yet I'm not even sure if that is where we will go but I have quite the history. I had my first surgery to remove a cyst that ruptured and was bleeding into my abdomen in 2011 during that surgery she found I was missing part of my uterus and my left ovary was wonky. 2012 I had a laser cone to remove cancer cells from my cervix. This past November I had a large cyst again on my left ovary so she removed it. Less than a week later I was in the er with terrible pain and it was back and full of blood so we made the decision to remove the ovary. Now not even 3 months later I have been having pain and this past week I have started being very ill nausea extreme diarrhea so much pain but primary Doctor order a cat scan and turns out I have a large cyst on my right ovary. My gynecologist office is closed on Fridays so I am just trying to make it through the weekend to see what she says. I trust her 100% she has been amazing on this long journey but I can't help but wonder where we will go from here. Is a hysterectomy in my near future? Even with no cyst I have constant pelvic pain, sex is painful....I have 2 beautiful children even though we thought I would never have any so I can't help but wonder if this is something that should be considered. It's nice just to be able to type this out and get it off my chest.

Wow! You have been through it. I haven't had a hysterectomy and can't give any input there but I wanted to say welcome and I hope you find the answers you are seeking. It's really great that you are comfortable with your doctor too. Hang in there!

Thank you!!! I think having a dr I am comfortable with has made all the difference in what I've been through. It wasn't easy finding her.

Hi! Welcome. It does sound as if you have been through a lot. Sorry to hear that.

It does sound based on your history that you might need a hysterectomy. It's great that you have a doctor you trust. That is very important.

Waiting to see the doctor is difficult because you don't know what they are going to say.

I hope you get a chance to do some research and ask lots of questions and if possible get a second opinion.

Give us an update as to how you are doing. We are here to support you whether you decide to have a hysterectomy or not.

Good luck 🍀

Hi there, I also had reoccurring cysts. Had 2 laps, but cysts kept on returning each time larger. Finally I had enough and after discussing wirh my gynae, opted for a hysterectomy. I also had severe endometriosis, so ended up with lap, vaginal and abdominal surgery. I would suggest that your cyst get cut out. When I went for my laps, they just drained the cysts. They always came back. Do you have endometriosis? That complicates things, and painful to live with.
