hair and skin problems

Hey Ladies -

I am 9 weeks post op. In light of other porblems folks are having, this is minor. But I want to fee like me again.

Is anyone having problems with their skin and hair? My face has started having break outs. I did not break out as a teenager. My hair is dry and has a mind of it's own. It makes me feel so unattractive. I am handling the swelling belly and hide it with cute tops. My face and hair, I can't hide.

thanks

Re: hair and skin problems

My TAH was on June 1. I am losing lots of hair each day, and my hair was already thin enough prior to surgery. I have had breakouts on my chin and forehead. You would think at my age (51) that would not be an issue.

Re: hair and skin problems

This brings back memories. I had break outs on my face too even now I get one at times if I forget to take my HRT or alter my HRT. I feel my break outs was from unbalanced hormones. Also I was loosing my wonderful long hair. This went on for over 3 years I came down with CFS and felt horrible!!! and my hair was thinning at temples, it was terrible...desperate for help one of my friends told me about taking a quailty great B STRESS COMPLEX vitamins and VITAMIN C 3 times a day, some do more its called flushing, these are all water soluable so come out in your urine... I once had bladder problems too, not when Im taking my Vitamin C! I read some people take more per day and then cut back to three or twice a day after giving your body back in balance of B and C. I have to tell you with in only a month my thinning hair was growning back!! SO HAPPY!!! Personally I think the older I get the less vitamins my body can keep or use from foods so giving it more helped my CFS its undercontrol as long as I take them everyday and I no longer take 4 hr naps every day! SOO HAPPY
