im scared having surgery

I am sorry you ladies are scared, but I want you to think about fear in a different way- fear is good! You are heading into something unknown. I would worry more about you if you were not afraid.
Here is how I dealt with my preop fears- surfing the internet last fall, looking for info, I found hystersisters. I suggest you read up on the surgery itself, and ask questions. Look through this site so you can learn more about different kinds of surgery. Give yourself permission to be scared-just don't let fear cripple you.
