I just feel overwhelmed........husband and 11 year old son at home, meals, cleaning the house, making sure someone is home when son catches the bus (it's super cold here in michigan, so we take him to the end of the driveway in the car......it's a long walk to the road in the moring), I also am over planning things at work! I do the payroll for the company and I am the only one that knows how to do it....so we do weekly payroll so i will be working from the first two weeks. I just feel totally out of control.

How does everyone make it thru without loosing their minds?

The longer I have to sit and think and dwell, the more my blood pressure rises! LOL!

I know it will be fine, but how in the heck do you stop fretting the small stuff??????

13 days and counting!
It's overwhelming for sure. I live just north of you in London Ontario and its just as cold here. I'm even stressing about footwear to wear to the hospital. Do I wear my winter boots? What if I can't bend over to put them on or take them off? LOL they say don't sweat the small stuff but inevitably we all do.
Good luck, I'm a week ahead of you, check for my posts.

Re: One week to go!

i am also about 3 weks away from the bid day! I jus found out that I needed the surgery 3 days ago. Got the surgery day the day after that. I am trying to do as much research as possible. I will begin to get things in order at home with my DH and kids.

I don't know wha to expect or how to feel. I wasn't having any real medical issues before my last GYN visit. I went for a pelvic ultrasound for IUD placemnet. A week or so later I am preparing for surgery.

Help! My mind is all over the place.

Buy fuzzy slippers you can slip on and make your DH change your socks for you. I live alone so it'll be an even bigger challenge. Will let you know how I manage.

Wow that's really fast. Did they tell you why you need the surgery? I would do a bit more digging to see if there's options especially if you had no prior medical issues. Best of luck to you, stay in touch. I'll be posting as soon as I'm up to it, so keep an eye out. We'll get you through it.

Re: One week to go!

I have complex cyst on right ovary rhat is enlarged. Fibroid on the back of uterus. Endometriosis and abnormal pap. I had pain on right side and back. Nothing major brushed it off as needing yo drink more water. The way that my doctor presented the info and said that this was the best option, put me ay ease that this is what needed to be done. I asked what was the longest that o could wait she said two months. I don't think I could make it that long waiting. And my recovery would be over before a big family vacation. I've done some research and it supports the doctor. But I am here for support from my sisters. So please give any info that you feel will help.

The surgery makes total sense given your condition. Whatever you need just ask, we're here for you. Feel free to message me if you need anything. I go in on Thursday for LAVH, removal of uterus and cervix for fibroids and excessive bleeding with my period. Funnily enough my last two periods have actually been better than normal which makes me second guess this. But...I've had this happen before and it just gets worse again. You're making the right decision, and I hope your recovery as well as all of us goes well. Think of this as short term pain for long term gain, in getting your life back to normal. That's really the only thing getting me through this. I'll be posting as soon as I'm up to it, to let everyone know how I'm doing.
Feel free to message me directly if you need to. Hugs, hang in there.
