Officially Crossed the Finish Line

Well ladies I did it I had a DaVinci Total Hysterectomy, One ovary and tube removed, I was going to get rid of both but last minute I decided I am truely not ready for menopause. I am almost 30 and want to naturally go through the process in 20+ years if I can.

At the same time I had cystoscopy with hydro distention and a biopsy of the lining on my bladder.

I arrived at the castle are 11:30 registered then headed to the surgery unit. I only waited 10 minutes in the waiting room before being escorted to Pre OP. Got undressed and not to long after got all my IV's received "Pain Protocol" pills. Everything went fast I saw my doctors, chief of surgery who was assisting in my surgery, intern ( this is a teaching hospital) and anesthesiologist everyone asked lots of questions, verified everything , double and triple checked everything then they rolled me to the operating room. In the operating room I got more questions and verifications, medicine to soothe my nerves, nausea meds behind my ear and in my IV. Next thing I no I'm waking up. The pain protocol did its job I had pain but it was easily managed. I do have to spend the night but I am okay with this. I have discomfort but I just need to press my button and meds will be delivered.

Overall I am content and happy. I'm so glad to have a great surgeon. Normally I'm nauseated but they did a awesome with this, I don't feel sick at all.

If it wasn't for this forum I wouldn't have been so prepared and informed.
